Integrated into its environment and equipped with the highest technological and environmental standards, Haliotis2 will be as protective of the Mediterranean Sea as it will be respectful of the quality of life of the city’s inhabitants.
As a true resource factory, it will produce 4 times more energy than it consumes today, and 5 million m3 of treated wastewater will be reused for cleaning and watering public spaces in Nice.

The Haliotis complex modernization project embodies all the ambition of the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis to build a Greener Metropolis and a sustainable future. In a context of climate emergency and resource scarcity, the question of water preservation has become a major issue for the population. Haliotis 2 intends to respond to this by complying with the best current and future technological and environmental standards thanks to an evolving design of its equipment. A true Resource Factory, Haliotis 2 will be part of the region's circular economy by producing sustainable resources and renewable energy which will contribute to the energy independence of the Metropolis.
