The electric vehicle revolution also involves Haliotis 2
4 March 2024At the end of 2023, a silent innovation marked the Haliotis station with the presentation of a 100% electric tractor truck. The latter is an innovative solution envisaged for the conveyance of sewage sludge to the Energy Recovery Unit in the Ariane district in Nice where it will be treated by the second half of 2024.
This project, carried out in collaboration with Haliotis’ partner transporter for many years, TGM and the manufacturer Volvo Trucks France, offers an environmentally friendly solution, anticipating ZFE standards.
Although adjustments are necessary and are being studied, the quiet and efficient truck should be operational soon. This progress, aligned with the objectives of reducing polluting emissions, demonstrates the commitment of the Haliotis 2 wastewater treatment plant to work on the Territorial Climate Air Energy Plan of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis.
