Haliotis Steering Committee (COPIL) visit with government departments
18 February 2025The REA and Haliotis2 consortium project teams were pleased to welcome the Secretary General of the Alpes-Maritimes Prefecture, Patrick AMOUSSOU-ADEBLE, accompanied by the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Director for the Territories and the Sea, Eric LEFEBVRE, for a COPIL meeting dedicated to the future Haliotis 2 wastewater treatment plant on Wednesday 12 February 2025.


Hervé Paul, Chairman of the Régie de l’Eau et de l’Assainissement and Vincent PONZETTO, Managing Director of the Régie de l’Eau et de l’Assainissement, Stéphane LIAUTAUD, Audrey MASSOT, Cécile PHELIPOT representing the DDTM, Marie MIHOUBI representing the Agence Régionale de Santé and Michel TURCO, Deputy Managing Director of the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur, were also present at the meeting, which included a tour of the site.


The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the progress of this major project, which will produce renewable resources and is essential for preserving Nice’s coastline and improving wastewater treatment in the metropolitan area.
This close cooperation with government departments will continue to ensure that the infrastructure is both efficient and environmentally friendly.
